The Lagos state government has on Monday announced plans to enforce a partial restriction of movements for motorist in the Agege axis in order to accelerate the ongoing construction of the Pen Cinema Flyover.

The announcement was made via a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of works and Infrastructure, Engr. Olujimi Hotonu, who said there would be a complete closure of the roads in the axis at some point, but it would start with a partial restriction of movement starting on Thursday, 4th of January 2017.

Hotonu assured residents that adequate arrangements have been made to alleviate the impact of the closure of the roads on vehicular movement, part of which includes traffic diversion routes.

The restriction, according to Olujimi Hotonu, is expected to last for an estimated period of three to six months.
