CAF Awards: Nigeria’s Victor Moses dropped as Salah, Mane and Aubameyang fight for top prize

Super Eagles and Chelsea player Victor Moses has been dropped from the final shortlist for the CAF-organized African footballer of the year award, as Liverpool team mates Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the final three man shortlist for the award.

In the manager’s category, Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, made the final three man shortlist for the Coach of the year award, while Super Falcon’s striker, Asisat Oshoala is also in the running for the female POTY.

Nigeria’s national team was also nominated for the national team of the year and will compete with Egypt and Cameroon for the prize.

The Awards Gala is scheduled to take place next year in Accra, Ghana.
