Nigerian govt donates to victims of herdsmen clash in Adamawa

The Nigerian government, through the National Emergency Management Agency, has donated relief materials to displaced victims of Bachama/Fulani herdsmen clash taking refuge in Gombe state.

According to NEMA’s head of operations in the state, Abani Garki, the distributed items which includes food, clothing, mattresses and detergents, are in fulfillment of the Vice President’s promise when he visited areas affected by the herdsmen clash.

‘’NEMA is expecting more materials from the Federal government for onward distribution to the affected communities”, he said.

 

The Deputy Governor of Adamawa state, Martins Babale, who received the items at the central store of NEMA in Yola praised the Federal Government for the intervention and promised that the items would be distributed to victims across the state and neighboring villages.
